Ruben of HyperTemp HVAC on a job site with compressors staged for install
Meet Ruben

Every HyperTemp call goes to one licensed tech. That tech is the one who drives out to your house.

I've been doing residential HVAC in Atlanta for over 10 years. Most of my work comes from word of mouth: neighbors, repeat customers, and the contractors I used to work under. When you call HyperTemp, you get me. When I show up, I'm the one doing the work. You won't get an apprentice, a subcontractor, or a bait-and-switch.

I started this business because too many homeowners were getting upsold systems they didn't need by technicians working on commission. I don't do that. If a repair is the right call, I'll tell you. If it's time to replace, I'll explain why and show you the math. Then you decide.

Common questions

Here's what homeowners usually ask before they call.

These are the questions we hear most often, answered in plain English. If you're still curious, the phone number works too.

How do you price repairs?

We charge a flat diagnostic fee per visit, which covers up to an hour of troubleshooting and gets applied to the repair cost if you move forward with us. Parts and labor are quoted upfront before any work starts. No “while I’m in there” surprise charges. If the repair would cost more than half a new system, we’ll tell you that instead of selling you the repair.

Can you really come out today?

Yes, most days we can. Call us before noon and we can usually get someone to your house that same afternoon. Emergency calls (no heat in winter or no AC in heat-wave weather) get pushed to the front of the queue. If we can’t make it, we’ll tell you honestly and give you a realistic window. We don’t book appointments we can’t keep.

What brands do you service?

We service all the common residential brands, including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Bryant, American Standard, and Amana. If it’s a system that was sold in the Atlanta market in the last 20 years, we’ve probably worked on it. The specific brand list is still being confirmed with Ruben, so feel free to call with your unit’s model number if you want to check before booking.

Do you warranty your work?

Yes, we warranty our work. Parts we install carry the manufacturer warranty, which is typically 1–10 years depending on the component. Labor on repairs is warrantied for 90 days, so if we fixed it and the same problem comes back, we come back at no charge. New system installs include a one-year labor warranty in addition to the manufacturer coverage.

Do you offer financing on new installs?

Yes, we offer financing on qualifying systems. A full system replacement runs $6,000–$12,000+ depending on tonnage, brand, and ductwork, and we don’t expect anyone to write that check on a Tuesday. We work with a financing partner that offers 0% APR promotional terms for qualified applicants. The specific partner and terms will be listed here once Ruben confirms the current provider.

What's included in the maintenance plan?

The plan includes two visits a year, one spring AC check and one fall furnace check. Each visit covers a full equipment inspection, cleaning of accessible components, a refrigerant-level check on the AC, a combustion-safety check on the furnace, and a written report of anything trending toward failure. Plan members also get priority dispatch on emergency calls and a standing discount on any repair parts and labor. The exact visit count and pricing are pending final confirmation.
